Hey everyone... thought I would use my Publisher's Corner to answer a question thisweek.
Q: Where do you park your Hummer?
A: Lynette got asked this question a while back, a few months into our ownership of this Tidbits publication. Let me assure you that if we had the money to buy a Hummer I could find numerous other things to do with that. Lynette sort of laughed at the question, thinking it was a bit of joke... but the guy was serious. From his point of view in this small town, we looked like
some big shot publisher's that bought up this publication and came in and wanted to take as much money as we could from small town businesses. Let me make it clear that Lynette and I are the polar opposite of that
scenario. We've worked blue collar jobs all of our lives and done our best to live within our means and raise our family. We did not sit in some fancy board room with suits and ties on and decide how to maximize our market share. We do this because it is our skill set, it's what we know how to do, and I have a passion for tangible publishing - real world hold-it-in-your-hand publishing. When the opportunity came up to purchase this Tidbits publication, we put everything we have on the line to make it happen, and more than two years
later we feel we have molded it into what our vision is for this publication - a no-strings-attached FREE, FUN & FAR-REACHING publication that readers of all ages can look forward to picking up in their local
businesses each and every week.
We struggle just like everyone else to make the bills, keep food on the table and the wolves at bay. So, as we continue to grow this publication and make it as fun and interesting as we can, we once again say THANK YOU for picking up this issue and enjoying it... and when you are done, please share it with your friends, family and neighbors.
Also, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions concerning Tidbits, you can call, email, text, write to us, or just stop us on the street when you see us. We would love to give you the straight up information about Tidbits of the Lake Area... because, in this part of the country, smart folks know what end of the horse you get the good information from. See you next week!
